Responsibilities

  • Ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
  • Directly manage a team of 3 supervisors across all shifts and over 60 plus indirect reports.
  • Plan production, short/long-term capacity, and forecast inventory to achieve targeted fill rates.
  • Coordinate scheduling with component suppliers, brand managers, and procurement.
  • Liaise with Merchandising, Planning and Inventory, QA, logistics, procurement to develop/adjust required inputs for detailed production planning.
  • Understand future capacity/supply constraints (manufacturing, raw materials, packaging) affecting production by engaging stakeholders throughout the planning process and lead the development of recovery plans.
  • Develop and own adherence to Departmental Budget/Forecasting.
  • Ensure that conversion costs for the area are in line with the budget by effectively managing waste, rework, overfilling, and variances through necessary loss elimination projects.
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
  • Drive manufacturing excellence in the production area to achieve the objectives of the factory aligned with business needs.
  • Maintain constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders, including business responsibilities, line shift teams, plant managers, maintenance personnel, and functional representatives on the line.
  • Foster a safety culture and create a safe working environment. Drive hygiene and safety standards, such as the proper use of personal protective equipment, shoe change and handwashing protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and more.
  • Ensure the implementation of the identified development plan and the competency of the team as per the agreed-upon plan with all relevant stakeholders. This includes providing proper training, including equipment operation, safety procedures, and hygiene practices.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining quality standards, ensuring that finished products are consistently manufactured according to quality standards and relevant manufacturing instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the working areas, including all installations, in accordance with Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required. A BA or BS degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations, Business, or Sciences fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-speed food manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively lead a large group of people.
  • Proven track record of managing, engaging, motivating, and coaching individuals and teams at the shop floor level.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change through the implementation of continuous excellence and continuous improvement techniques, such as TPM and Lean methodologies.
  • Strong background in production planning.
  • Experience working within a cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) facility.
  • Thorough understanding of quality systems and health & safety regulations.
  • Experience in reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong expertise with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and HACCP Food Safety Management Systems.
  • A proactive self-starter who possesses exceptional leadership skills and the ability to drive results through others.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking.
  • Solid organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
