About the position

The PM is responsible for supervising all phases of the homebuilding process, working directly with the Design and Operations Teams. The position requires leading large groups of people and developing a culture of accountability while ensuring strict adherence to quality assurance requirements, including HUD building codes. The PM must prioritize safety, review production performance, and identify training opportunities for production personnel. Effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring are essential for personnel development and employee engagement. The role also involves improving production processes to enhance quality, reduce lead times, and lower operational costs using Lean Manufacturing methods and other quality management applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large groups of people and develop a culture of accountability.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance requirements, including HUD building codes.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines.
  • Review production performance and identify training opportunities for production personnel.
  • Direct teams effectively to meet timelines and production priorities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development.
  • Improve production processes to enhance quality, reduce lead times, and lower costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant management experience.
  • Previous construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as basic math skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to read and understand home building specifications is greatly desired.
  • Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a fast-paced work environment.
