About The Position

The Production Planner at MKS Instruments is responsible for coordinating and managing production schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of customer demands. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams to optimize production processes and resource management, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or professional certification, e.g., APICS CPIM preferred.
  • 3-5 years in a planning, supply chain, or similar role.
  • Prior experience in resource planning (labor and equipment) preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerBI, or similar tools for data analysis and presentation.
  • Prior experience with Oracle, SAP, or other system software.
  • Willingness to work with diverse teams and demonstrate a cooperative, team-first attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Desire to challenge the status quo and a willingness to learn and adapt daily.

Responsibilities

  • Developing production schedules, releasing jobs, and managing manufacturing jobs to meet schedules.
  • Managing customer order ship dates and collaborating with internal teams to improve on-time fulfillment.
  • Managing key resources, shop floor schedule, and capacity.
  • Teaming with production and purchasing groups to recognize and resolve capacity or critical material imbalances.
  • Liaising with business units to address customer allocations or prioritizations.
  • Participating in new product/process development and collaborating on product launch plans.
  • Tracking and publishing key metrics of performance such as production output, on-time customer order shipment, and inventory levels.
  • Providing input on system or process opportunities to support a culture of continuous improvement.
