About the position

The Production Process Supervisor at Siemens Industry, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the production schedule is met by establishing priorities, assigning personnel, and monitoring progress. This role involves identifying digitalization opportunities, driving adherence to production processes, and analyzing data to improve product quality and productivity. The supervisor will also provide strategic guidance to teams, train personnel on digital tools, and coordinate with various departments to ensure material availability and safety improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Establish production priorities and assign personnel to work areas.
  • Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to personnel and priorities.
  • Resolve line constraint problems and report results through shift production summaries.
  • Identify digitalization opportunities and implement relevant tools.
  • Ensure adherence to production processes and correct utilization of manufacturing systems.
  • Analyze data from manufacturing systems to create reports and recommendations.
  • Provide strategic guidance to Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
  • Train personnel on the use of digital tools to enhance production processes.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, planning, and warehouse teams for material availability.
  • Improve safety for personnel working in and around production lines.
  • Identify and coordinate continuous improvement projects.
  • Lead Annual Physical Inventory.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the local union according to the collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Production Planner or in an acceptable alternate occupation.
  • Experience with projects aimed at improving safety, quality, delivery reliability, and cost in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to interpret or learn to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with production planning systems.
  • Experience developing solutions with Tableau to improve business processes.
  • Knowledge of Siemens low voltage power distribution electrical equipment and related production processes.
