Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of management/supervision experience OR minimum one year working as a Tyson Foods Line Lead or equivalent role.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment; must have an open mindset to consider new ideas to improve processes or procedures.
  • Travel: Some travel is required, this could be to other facilities or to Corporate less than 10%.
  • Collaboration Skills: Efficiently work with leadership team, safety, FSQA, sanitation, maintenance, training dept, and HRBP in making sound business decisions (production & employees).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of food industry, processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Understanding of financial indicators/analysis and experienced in budget development/management.

Responsibilities

  • Build the best team possible, including hiring, training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
  • Educate the team on benefits, compensations, and company policies.
  • Guide the team in stretches before their shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift.
  • Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, ensuring accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
  • Ensure all workstations on the line are staffed before start-up of production.
  • Ensure all machinery is performing and all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.
  • Promote safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings.
  • Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors in solving problems.
  • Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
  • Perform other responsibilities as the need arises.
