About The Position

The Production Worker II role involves assisting the department lead in daily operations while performing various production tasks. Requirements

  • Machine operation experience in a production environment preferred
  • Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and simple manipulation

Responsibilities

  • Be proficient with use of small hand tools
  • Identify and follow procedures and work instructions
  • Transport product to next stages of production
  • Understand production and quality metrics and perform accordingly to meet them
  • Identify nonconforming product
  • Assist as necessary in department processes
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Follow Cleaning Checklist
  • Follow established company policies
  • Follow all established health and safety policies
  • Communicate with supervisors as well as other employees
  • Ensure that all production staff adhere to good manufacturing practices, quality policies and ISO procedures
  • Monitor production operations for quality and efficiency to ensure that the established goals and objectives are achieved
  • Act as backup for Unit Lead
  • Create, track, and evaluate Metrics, address deviations in performance, and propose and implement solutions for improvement
  • Evaluate non-conformities in products, production equipment and test equipment and resolve the problems causing the non-conformities
  • Track and follow up on part shortages
  • Train and cross train staff to achieve maximum flexibility during peak or off-peak periods
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Participate in planning and scheduling for the department
  • Set up and operate all semi-automated equipment
  • Perform quality inspection and testing as required
  • Cross train on PW-I job duties in the PHX department
  • Close orders
  • Perform data entry
  • Load/Unload Annealing Oven
  • Perform cycle counts as directed
  • Purge machine between color changes
  • Assist with mold setting as needed
