About The Position

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support the Transition to Practice of new graduate nurses.
  • Coordinate educational offerings for ongoing staff development.
  • Assess the learning needs of staff and assist in developing personal professional growth plans.
  • Plan and operationalize educational activities to meet staff educational needs.
  • Measure the adequacy of learning and remediates as necessary.
  • Act as a consultant for educational delivery methods and curriculum development.
  • Differentiate issues that require educational intervention and provide learning opportunities.
  • Assist staff in planning for formal educational growth opportunities.
  • Prepare learning materials for educational activities using theory and practical considerations.
  • Evaluate learning materials for adequacy, accuracy, and evidence base.
  • Provide coaching for the use of the internet and other modalities for knowledge acquisition.
  • Work with Patient/Family and Community Education to identify learning needs and provide activities.
  • Coordinate learning activities with Employee Learning and Employee Advancement departments.
  • Maintain expertise in teaching/learning and clinical competency.
  • Make learning engaging and interesting.
