About The Position

The Professional Engineer / Designer role involves performing electrical power engineering tasks for commercial electrical construction and agriculture-related projects. The position requires collaboration with an upper-level engineering team to complete designs, prepare bid packages, and provide project support. The engineer will interpret technical CAD drawings and ensure compliance with safety standards and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (preferred)
• 5+ years experience with design and electrical construction
• 5+ years experience in Agricultural facilities with electrical related experience
• Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering
• Experience in using required software including estimating
• Proficient in design software
• Field experience
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

• Ability to attain PE stamping of drawings in WI and multiple states
• Strong leadership skills
• Independent self-starter

Responsibilities

• Obtain an exceptional understanding of safety culture and rules
• Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications
• Modify existing drawings and create new drawings as needed
• Perform a wide range of engineering tasks using computer-assisted design
• Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
• Plan layout of electrical construction projects
• Conduct field surveys
• Comprehend and interpret building codes and permit processes
• Coordinate closely with utilities, equipment manufacturers, and project managers
• Communicate effectively with customers, staff, and project managers
• Analyze drawings and documentation to prepare estimates
