The Program Administration Manager I manages the implementation of program goals and objectives. This role may involve preparing budget proposals and recommendations, establishing a budget control system for controlling expenditures, and ensuring that expenditures align with budget allocations. The manager may also recommend equipment and resources for the program. Additionally, the position may require managing project scope and timeline through formal change management processes, as well as managing project issues and risks through standard issue/risk processes. The manager may be responsible for selecting, training, evaluating, and managing unit or department staff to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Furthermore, the role includes performing needs assessments, evaluating and analyzing individual program and overall unit or department effectiveness, and implementing appropriate procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy in fulfilling the unit or department and campus mission. The manager will also oversee the development of internal systems and materials for the delivery of programs and services, provide technical advice and policy interpretation, and develop and facilitate workshops, seminars, and orientations. The position involves creating information flyers, internal forms, and various materials to facilitate unit or department programs and services, as well as maintaining liaison with staff, faculty, and outside/community agencies to facilitate program objectives.
