About The Position

Sev1Tech is seeking an experienced Program Control Analyst to manage and analyze project financials, ensuring alignment with established cost baselines. The role involves preparing and maintaining the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monitoring Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Completion (ETC), and conducting various financial analyses. The analyst will support project managers in maintaining accurate financial data and reporting, while also ensuring adequate funding and managing accounts receivable and payable related to projects.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in project-related finance using financial management software (SAP, Unanet, CostPoint).
  • Strong skills in standard desktop applications, specifically high-level Excel skills (including pivot tables, V-lookup, and conditional formatting).
  • Ability to interact positively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to achieve results amicably with and through others.
  • Inquisitive nature with a focus on root causes for issues and opportunities.
  • Ability to maintain a high-level view while delving into details and mechanics.
  • Flexible and adaptable with an understanding of finance and accounting functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government contracting and invoicing processes.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, and forecast project status against established baseline costs.
  • Prepare and maintain the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Monitor Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Completion (ETC).
  • Conduct financial analyses including variance, risk, and profit/loss analysis.
  • Assist Project Managers in staying current on financial data related to projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost control on one or more projects.
  • Reconcile actual vs. budget costs per project monthly and identify variances.
  • Review project set-up for new contract modifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Track employee and subcontractor incurred hours and dollars.
  • Submit monthly subcontractor accruals for all assigned projects.
  • Review project expenses for accuracy and correct alignment.
  • Prepare financial and administrative reports for distribution to customers and user organizations.
  • Ensure adequate funding availability and submit requests for additional funding.
  • Understand unbilled data, accounts receivable, and accounts payable related to projects.
  • Assist in reviewing government invoices for accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing customer reporting including CFSRs and Business Management Reviews.
  • Assist in tracking weekly and monthly status reporting.
  • Support Project Managers in closing out outstanding obligations.
