About The Position

The Program Controls Senior Manager at AECOM is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing program controls for large-scale, complex programs. This position requires providing senior-level guidance to ensure adherence to strategic objectives, coordinating efforts across multiple projects, and delivering expert oversight to project controls teams. The role emphasizes communication, accountability, and continuous improvement within the program controls team.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Project Management, Engineering, or Business plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
  • Strong experience with Project Management Information System (PMIS).
  • Experience with large transportation, water, and aviation infrastructure.
  • Experience in integration of controls - scope, cost, schedule, risk reporting.
  • Experience in PowerBI report tailoring for program specific needs.

  • Masters degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct Program Controls for large-scale, strategically significant, and highly complex programs.
  • Provide authoritative senior-level guidance for program controls activities, ensuring adherence to strategic objectives established by executive leadership.
  • Spearhead coordination efforts across multiple projects within the program, ensuring alignment with overarching program goals.
  • Conduct thorough analyses to identify and address critical interdependencies between projects.
  • Deliver expert counsel and rigorous oversight to project controls teams, ensuring meticulous management of individual project elements.
  • Orchestrate precise and effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership, delivering comprehensive and actionable intelligence.
  • Implement and maintain stringent control measures to safeguard program integrity and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Develop and enforce standardized processes to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness across all project phases.
  • Conduct regular, in-depth program performance assessments and risk analyses, providing strategic recommendations for course corrections when necessary.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and excellence within the program controls team, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
