Program Director

About the position

The Program Director is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to supervise staff to ensure quality service are provided to clients and the programs are in compliance with all policies, procedures and contract requirements. This role involves managing program contracts, budgets, and operations while ensuring compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies. The Program Director will provide guidance and leadership to staff, review financial reports, prepare presentations, and foster collaborations with other organizations in the community. Additionally, the Program Director will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing staff performance, as well as maintaining an internal policy and procedure manual.

Responsibilities

• Manage program contract, budget and operations and ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, contracts, corporate policies, and budget requirements.
• Provide guidance and leadership to staff with multiple programs to emphasize the importance of the program achieving high standards of quality.
• Review and analyze monthly financial and statistical reports to assess the budget status and initiate preventative measures if any problems appear.
• Prepare presentations, training, and facilitate groups that promote programs within the community.
• Provide clinical services as needed including individual and group therapy/peer support groups.
• Work with other organizations in the community to foster collaborations for outreach opportunities.
• Remain informed and educated on licensing requirements and ensure that any licensing changes are quickly enforced within the program.
• Responsible for interviewing candidates, hiring staff with Regional Director input, and managing staff performance.
• Assist leadership in maintaining an internal policy and procedure manual of the organizational structure and each program function.
• Ensure all personnel hired have required education, license, and experience.
• Manage budgets and expenditures by approving all expenses and monitoring spending.
• Maintain organizational management structure which promotes best practices.
• Train, develop, and mentor all direct reporting staff to promote optimal performance.
• Work effectively with the BCHS HHS Regional Director and the management team.
• Submit required documentation for billing on time.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, sociology, or psychology.
• 3 years of experience working with young adults providing trauma-informed care and a clinical background.
• LPC-S certification.
• Maintain certificates required for the position including First Aid and CPR.
• Valid Texas Driver’s license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.
• Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
• Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check.
