About the position

Ultra Maritime provides innovative systems and product solutions for maritime based applications both in the UK and international market. Offering a range of turn-key products, services and niche product solutions using in-house technology, specialist third party products and COTS technology to the defence industry. The role of the Programme Manager is pivotal to the success of the business with focus being on successful Programme delivery. The successful individual must be willing to undergo Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assume full responsibility for the management and delivery of assigned projects/programmes with full accountability for programme performance.
  • Deliver the programme/project in line with the UECSS processes, procedures and standards.
  • Define, communicate, execute & monitor the programme and prioritise programme outcomes in line with agreed contractual and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and lead programme teams; providing leadership, direction and control through effective work package management.
  • Ensure Programme objectives, progress, and the approach for implementation is clearly communicated to stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage internal and external Stakeholders, including effective expectation management and clear communication.
  • Develop, implement and maintain programme plans and statements of work (SOW's).
  • Manage Resource Forward Load, assign programme resources and conduct regular reviews of resource requirements.
  • Effectively manage risks, issues and opportunities within the programme.
  • Build strong customer relationships acting as the primary point of contact for customer communication and liaison.
  • Ensure re-work is effectively managed and reduced across all allocated programmes.
  • Maintain programme performance dashboard incorporating reporting metrics.
  • Report status and performance of the assigned programme in line with Ultra Maritime's management reporting cycle.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities working closely with the sales and marketing team.
  • Lead assigned bids taking on the role of a Bid Manager.

Requirements

  • Typically, a Master Degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
  • Experience in program management or multiple functions working with program management.
  • Willingness to undergo Security Clearance.
