About the position

The Program Management Trainer will provide onsite support at HQ SACT in Norfolk, VA, focusing on developing and delivering training modules related to the Common Funded Governance Model (CFCDGM) stages. This role involves collaborating with various experts to train new program teams and personnel, incorporating lessons learned and best practices into training modules, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for capability development within NATO's framework.

Responsibilities

  • Develop program team training modules for the Common Funded Governance Model (CFCDGM) stages.
  • Deliver training modules to new program teams established in ACT to manage emerging CF programs.
  • Train new personnel assigned to ongoing CFCD programs due to personnel rotation or additions.
  • Coordinate with the PMO Best Practice Section to incorporate lessons learned and best practices into training modules.
  • Coach and mentor program teams on a continuous basis in cooperation with PMO program coordinators.
  • Develop, update, and deliver a 3-day CAPDEV Newcomers Orientation course.
  • Cooperate with STRATMAN P3 Management in the P3 & Capability delivery course.
  • Advise on annual Industry Best Practice Training for HQ SACT.
  • Liaise with Global Programming ETEE Discipline Point-of-Contact to conduct Training Requirements Analyses.
  • Cooperate with NATO School Oberammergau in developing and delivering training sessions.
  • Work with Distributed Learning in proposing and delivering CFCDGM-related training.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and/or leading training, ideally related to NATO Global Programming
  • Minimum 3 years working in a national defense organization, a multinational organization or, ideally, NATO Command or Force Structure
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Program Management, ideally with the NATO Common Funded Capability Delivery Governance Model
  • Certified qualification in Program and Project Management (Axelos or similar methodologies)

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field
