About The Position

The Program Manager at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is responsible for the local implementation and delivery of NKF's signature programs aimed at enhancing kidney health awareness and education across Tennessee. This role involves managing community partnerships, securing funding, and ensuring program alignment with NKF's strategic goals. The Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and other stakeholders to evaluate program performance and address health equity barriers in kidney disease.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum four years of work-related experience delivering health-related programs.
• Experience in adapting to changing environments and navigating organizational dynamics.
• Experience in developing community partnerships and relationships.
• Familiarity with public health, chronic disease, and social determinants of health.
• Experience working for a non-profit health agency is preferred.
• Experience in grant proposal writing and securing funding opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing volunteers is preferred but not required.
• Experience managing project budgets is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Master's in health-related or social services field preferred but not required.
• Salesforce experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, and budgeting for all NKF programs in the community.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to ensure representation of patients served, focusing on high-risk groups.
• Enhance public awareness activities in communities at highest risk for kidney disease.
• Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with community organizations.
• Assist in securing funding for regional/local programs through grant proposals and sponsor meetings.
• Oversee advocacy efforts at the state level and manage the annual Day at the Capitol event.
• Produce performance reports on programs and provide feedback to management.
• Provide strategic direction to local Medical Advisory Boards and serve as liaison to the Board of Advisors.
• Prepare and manage program budgets.
• Serve as primary local liaison to the Council of Renal Nutrition and Council of Nephrology Social Worker.
