About the position

The position(s) covered by this vacancy announcement is in the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). This position is part of the DoD, Missile Defense Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing program objectives, making recommendations, planning milestone dates, tracking the processes and costs throughout the life-cycle of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the program office to deliver required capability and meet requirements within cost, schedule, risk, performance baselines and activities to define the technical requirements, the acquisition documents IAW MDA processes and oversee the funding execution and propose budgets to fund future years IAW MDA POM process.
  • Apply systems acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and practices necessary to develop and assess technical and economic feasibility, including cost, schedule and performance.
  • Work with leadership to establish improved operating concepts and criteria and stimulate the development and integration of improved policies, methodologies, and techniques across the MDS.
  • Prepare, review, and document acquisition documents for internal and external communications to include Agency leadership, other government Agencies, and prime contractors. Document program baseline detail and report executability on the progress of the program. Respond to DoD, GAO and Congressional requests for information on the progress and challenges of the program.
