About the position

The Program Manager (PM) will oversee the installation of Airborne Imaging Systems and Mission Equipment on Government-owned aircraft in support of the DEA's law enforcement missions. This role involves ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, maintaining airworthiness, and managing subcontractor teams for effective project execution. The PM will also focus on improving cost-effectiveness and efficiency in aircraft maintenance and logistics support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation of Airborne Imaging Systems and Mission Equipment on Government-owned aircraft.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maintain the aircraft's Standard Airworthy Certificate.
  • Manage subcontractor teams for installation projects in Oklahoma City, OK and Wichita, KS.
  • Provide timely and effective aircraft maintenance and logistics support per FAA and DEA standards.
  • Make informed decisions for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Achieve program excellence by delivering on-time performance and quality deliverables.
  • Improve integration of cost and schedule reporting for disciplined program management.
  • Ensure a highly skilled staff is available with Subcontractor teammates that meet training and certification requirements.
  • Provide Quality Oversight as an Avionics Subject Matter Expert (SME) with on-site visits.

Requirements

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of aircraft and/or program management experience.
  • Ten (10) years of leadership/management experience.
  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) License.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent military or civilian experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAA and DoD processes and certification protocols for aircraft.
  • Analytical abilities to handle complex administrative and maintenance matters.
  • Demonstrated communicative, managerial, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to qualify for a SECRET security clearance.
  • Basic knowledge of computers for data input and extraction.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
