About the position

The Program Manager at Safran Electrical & Power is responsible for leading program activities to ensure customer satisfaction and economic performance. This role involves managing program risks, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements throughout the program lifecycle, from bid and proposal phases to production and retirement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the bid process during the PROMPT S1 to S2 milestone.
  • Validate recurring and non-recurring cost estimates to ensure a sound business case at contract award.
  • Achieve program objectives from contract award to retirement from service.
  • Manage customer satisfaction and lead customer communication.
  • Ensure all contracts are respected and manage changes in scope to guarantee profitability.
  • Build and monitor the program level MTP with business support.
  • Organize program reviews and lead status meetings internally and with customers.
  • Manage the cross-functional and multicultural integrated program team (IPT).
  • Assess program-related risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate upstream industrialization for smooth transition to serial production.
  • Monitor technical or engineering issues from customers during production activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in a project, product, or program team environment.
  • Experience managing programs or as a product/technical project manager interfacing with customers.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years' experience in program management in a similar industry.
  • Strong track record with proven experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization.
  • Training in Program Management standards and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience within an Engineering environment.
  • Aerospace and/or defense program management experience.
