About The Position

The Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst - Level 2 at Northrop Grumman plays a crucial role in managing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure program objectives are met. This position involves collaboration with various teams to resolve execution challenges and track program performance metrics. The analyst will support engineering planning, evaluate supplier schedules, and prepare for major program reviews, contributing to the success of significant projects in the aerospace and defense sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business Administration with 2+ years of professional related experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of professional related experience, or 4 additional years of related professional experience in lieu of degrees.
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project) supporting development and/or production programs.
  • Strong skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site at the NG facility in Oxnard, CA during business core hours.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

  • Proficient with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) software (e.g., MS Project, Open Plan, Primavera P6).

  • Experience with resource loading schedules.
  • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Engineering planning/scheduling support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to establish program baseline and manage program execution.
  • Evaluate subcontract/supplier schedules and integrate them into the IMS.
  • Collaborate with IPTs/CAMs to determine, monitor, and update program schedules considering operational budgets and manpower requirements.
  • Track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, prepare and implement change requests, and identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis to derive solutions and recommendations for program issues in collaboration with multiple functions.
  • Develop and present weekly/monthly program schedule performance metrics, including Tier 1 summary schedules.
  • Collaborate with development and production teams to validate project progress (i.e., Earned Value via QBDs).
  • Interface with the financial team to ensure program cost and schedule integration.
  • Prepare and support major program reviews/events including Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits.
  • Prepare and validate month-end IMS submittal to the customer in accordance with contractual requirements.
