About the position

The Program Planning & Controls III position at Blue Origin involves executing project schedule and cost management for In-Space Systems programs. This role is crucial in supporting the development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems, contributing to the company's mission of enabling safe and repeatable space flight. The successful candidate will work closely with Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams to create integrated schedules and cost baselines, ensuring effective project execution and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of integrated schedule and cost baselines in Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra.
  • Establish Work Breakdown Structures and Integrated Master Schedules.
  • Drive execution of project plans by coordinating status updates and collecting schedule performance data.
  • Perform regular schedule forecast updates and critical path analysis.
  • Generate actionable metrics and key performance indicators for project reporting.
  • Implement effective change management for approved scope changes.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving schedule and cost processes.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management, or a highly analytical field.
  • 5+ years' experience in program scheduling, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency with Primavera (P6), MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
  • Experience in control account management, including schedule baselining and variance analysis.
  • Ability to build and maintain a fully networked and resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving results and proactive project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Deltek, Cobra, Empower, or other cost/schedule integration tools.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial project reporting.
  • MBA or Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager).
  • Active or ability to acquire/renew Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
