About the position

LSINC Corporation is a dynamic, innovative firm that is rapidly growing, and we are currently seeking a Program Security Officer Apprentice. This position plays a crucial role in assisting with the development and implementation of a multi-disciplined security program for complex, major acquisition Special Access Program (SAP) efforts. The Program Security Officer will not only ensure compliance with all relevant policies and directives but will also assist in the creation of security plans and procedures aimed at safeguarding classified information. This role is not a security guard position; rather, it involves a comprehensive understanding of various security disciplines including personnel, industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security. The Program Security Officer will be responsible for conducting indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program-briefed personnel, ensuring they understand their obligations to protect classified information. Additionally, the officer will oversee the secure storage and workspace requirements for customers, conduct annual inventories of accountable classified material, and coordinate the requisition of necessary equipment and supplies. The role also includes providing security support during program working groups and conferences, maintaining all required facility paperwork and accreditations, and ensuring the proper handling and inventory of classified materials. This position requires excellent communication skills, as the officer will interface with senior-level government and corporate officials, verify visitor clearances, and coordinate meetings. The Program Security Officer will also be responsible for preparing documents for secure transmissions and performing general clerical duties as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, with relevant experience being a substitute for the degree requirement. Candidates should have 1-3 years of broad general security experience, with some SAP experience preferred, and must have a current Top Secret security clearance.
