About the position

The Program Supervisor - Mental Health at Vivent Health is responsible for providing coordinated oversight and evidence-based clinical mental health services. This role involves supervising clinic-based mental health providers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering quality patient care as part of an integrated HIV care model. The supervisor will also engage in administrative tasks to support departmental functioning and will carry a panel of patients, focusing on improving their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordinated programmatic oversight of mental health services.
  • Supervise clinic-based mental health providers, including those working toward licensure.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding mental health services.
  • Deliver a variety of behavioral health services, including psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to behavioral health services, including program development and staff oversight.
  • Keep abreast of developments in HIV treatment and mental health conditions.
  • Conduct quality assessments and accurate diagnoses for mental health patients.
  • Prepare and evaluate treatment plans for assigned patients.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and their collateral contacts.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain patient record documentation.
  • Develop knowledge of specialized service providers to facilitate patient access to care.
  • Participate in patient care team meetings and continuing education events.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a mental health setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as a therapist or similar capacity.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Texas Licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
  • Adherence to the Code of Ethics of the chosen profession.
  • Knowledge and skills in behavioral health and wellness programming, especially mental health services.
  • Experience in providing behavioral health and wellness services.
  • Understanding of best practices and evidence-based practices in behavioral health.
  • Satisfactory Caregiver and Criminal Background Checks.
  • Strong ability to work with a diverse population.

Nice-to-haves
