About The Position

The Program Supplier Quality Control Manager at Leidos is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures within the aerospace supply base, particularly for the Hypersonic Program. This role involves ensuring compliance with various quality standards, conducting supplier audits, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and eight (8) years of relevant work experience, or a Master's with six (6) years of relevant work experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a High school diploma/GED with 10 years of direct experience in aviation programs may be substituted.
  • Ten (10+) years of experience in QA/QC systems implementation and/or management in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.
  • Experience reviewing contract requirements and resources needed for compliance.
  • Ability to provide quality control inputs to aviation program manuals and records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading teams of quality professionals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Hypersonic Systems or Space Systems.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Knowledge of assembly, integration, and testing in electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with special processes such as paint, welding, chem film/anodize, heat treat, and counterfeit material.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve the Quality Control system at the supply base to promote satisfaction at manufacturing assembly plants.
  • Champion quality activities at suppliers and report supplier metrics across the program.
  • Coordinate with the Customer (DCMA) on all supplier quality activities, product approvals, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serve as the primary supplier contact for quality control activities, including problem identification and resolution.
  • Manage supplier quality activities on a day-to-day basis across the Hypersonic program.
  • Establish and implement supplier metrics for monitoring the effectiveness of the Quality Control system.
  • Support root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities to identify corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends affecting product quality.
  • Interact with suppliers, operations quality, and customers to identify quality improvement opportunities.
  • Support quality improvement activities such as Kaizen and Six Sigma.
