About the position

NetPlanner Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Programmer - AV to join our team in Norcross, Georgia. This full-time position involves designing, developing, and implementing base code for audio-visual (AV) systems using various software and hardware platforms, including Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, and AMX. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) for audio applications, which includes setting up, calibrating, and tuning systems according to technical specifications using hardware such as Biamp and Q-SYS. In this role, you will interpret requirements and block diagrams, implement CRESTRON User Interfaces (touch panels), and write CRESTRON control code to manage various types of equipment. You will also identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in AV systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime, which may involve revising code as necessary. Providing remote technical support to field technicians during the installation, maintenance, and repair of AV systems is a key responsibility, requiring you to guide them through complex procedures, interpret technical specifications, and troubleshoot unexpected issues. Onsite testing of code and system functionality is essential to ensure reliability, stability, and adherence to defined performance metrics. While the majority of work will be performed remotely, the candidate must be willing to travel to sites to resolve complex issues and programming requirements. The ability to write and run test plans and integrate code with end-user equipment is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement base code for audio-visual (AV) systems using Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, AMX, or other software and hardware.
  • Program DSPs for audio applications, including setup, calibration, and tuning of systems using hardware such as Biamp and Q-SYS.
  • Interpret requirements and block diagrams, implement CRESTRON User Interfaces (touch panels), and write CRESTRON control code.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in AV systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years programming and configuring Crestron systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years configuring DSP systems such as Biamp and QSC.
  • Experience with interface (GUI) design and graphics applications.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of AV materials and installation methods.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Industry Certifications, CTS & CTS-D preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CTS required, CTS-D or CTS-I preferred.
