About the position

Our client is looking to bring an experienced CMM Programmer who will make a positive impact on their quickly expanding company. This company calibrates, sells, and repairs technological equipment for companies in a variety of industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, plastic, and many more. The hiring company has just less than 200 employees spread across 5 locations with plans to add new locations and team members as their business continues to grow rapidly. This position consists of lots of programming, contract inspection, and some quoting. The working hours are Monday to Friday, either from 7 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 5 pm, and the position is in-person.

Responsibilities

• Creating and running programs on complex part applications using Zeiss Calypso software from 3D solid-models and 2D drawings
• Perform on-site training and applications support.
• Provide metrology consulting and support for GD&T, measurement discrepancies, and general inspection process management.
• Assist with quoting, managing contract jobs, and customer interactions.
• Supporting internal calibration and applications engineering departments.
• Ability to perform PPAP, MSAs, FAIs & GR&Rs.

Requirements

• Experience as a CMM Programmer using Calypso software
• Strong mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills, and the ability to work with others in a team environment
• Must be self-motivated, problem-solving skills and self-directed
• Strong SPC reporting capabilities
• Good verbal and written communication skills with an ability to create concise technical reports
• Ability to reason and negotiate complex problems with customers
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• Strong knowledge in GD&T, 3D CAD, MSA/GR&R, SPC, FAI.
