The CMM Programmer position at our aerospace company in Anaheim, CA, is a full-time role focused on supporting company objectives through a variety of inspection tasks. The successful candidate will work under functional safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with PPE and equipment interaction protocols. The primary responsibilities include performing semi-complex inspections on detailed machined parts using various measuring tools and equipment to determine the acceptability or rejection of parts and their finishes. The role requires conducting visual and dimensional inspections that support in-process, work in progress, final, and receiving operations. A thorough understanding of the AS9102 standard, which pertains to First Article Inspection in the aerospace sector, is essential. The candidate must possess strong knowledge of tools, measuring equipment, and inspection procedures, including sampling plans, to accurately inspect all types of incoming, in-process, or final components, assemblies, and products for conformance to predetermined specifications. Proficiency in CMM software, specifically PC-DMIS, is required, along with a strong command of precision hand tools, gauges, calipers, and micrometers. The ability to read and interpret parts and drawings is also crucial. In addition to inspection duties, the CMM Programmer will support continuous improvement activities and may be assigned other tasks by Quality Leadership. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a CMM Programmer or operator, with strong GD&T knowledge, experience with inspection equipment, and familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9102 standards. Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and CAD, are necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work efficiently with limited supervision and possesses good interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
