About the position
The Project Civil Engineer will be part of Olsson's Data Center Civil Team, focusing on large-scale engineering projects for hyperscale data center campuses. This role involves project management and design engineering, preparing planning and design documents, and ensuring quality assurance on complex projects. The position offers flexible work options, including remote and hybrid schedules, promoting work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a project manager on some projects and lead design engineer on others.
- Prepare planning and design documents.
- Process design calculations and develop team and client standards.
- Lead quality assurance/quality control efforts.
- Act as an advisor on complex projects.
- Coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, clients, and other consultants.
- Travel to job sites for observation and attend client meetings.
Requirements
- Experience in civil engineering, particularly in data center design.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in preparing planning and design documents.
- Ability to perform design calculations and maintain standards.
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
