About the position

Parsons is seeking a talented Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our team, specifically to work on the Memphis Airport project. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cost control systems, as well as providing planning and scheduling functions for one or more larger projects. As a fully qualified professional, you will leverage your solid experience and technical expertise to complete complex tasks independently while adhering to company policies and procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include providing guidance and specialized assistance to resolve challenging project control problems. You will analyze, evaluate, and forecast the current status of projects against established baseline schedules, assessing the impacts of design or construction changes and schedule slippages. Reporting the status of the schedule to project and company management, as well as to clients, will be a key part of your role. You will also be expected to understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships effectively. In addition, you will develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts, customizing project control systems to meet specific project requirements. Accumulating historical data, such as performance experience, will be essential for maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting. You may also be tasked with performing other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Typically 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
  • Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
