Project Engineer - Structural (Bridge Design)

About the position

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager - Structural to join our bridge design team in our Champaign, IL office. Hybrid and flexible work arrangements are available based upon experience. This individual will partner with our experienced team of bridge designers to provide project management and structural design expertise on state and local bridge projects in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management for state and local bridge projects
• Prepare structural design calculations for bridges and other transportation structures
• Provide leadership and mentoring to graduate engineers
• Perform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions, and develop repair alternatives
• Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
• Business development related to bridge infrastructure with current and future clients

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required with an emphasis in structures preferred
• 5+ years of prior bridge design experience required
• SE license required
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation proficiency preferred
• Experience coordinating with Departments of Transportation
• Previous experience with project management and client relationships preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Solid leadership and collaboration skills
• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer (no sponsorship provided)

• Salary range from $79,000 to $126,500 per year commensurate with experience
