The Project Manager for the 10 Day Facility - Hazardous Waste at Veolia North America is responsible for overseeing a team of field employees dedicated to the safe disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This role involves coordinating subcontractors and field personnel to ensure compliance with job specifications and regulatory guidelines. The Project Manager will provide guidance and training to field service employees, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle their responsibilities. Additionally, the Project Manager will prepare project estimates and proposals, assisting with contract preparation to meet client needs effectively. In this position, the Project Manager will manage teams, which includes hiring, evaluating, and taking disciplinary actions when necessary. Compliance with governmental regulations and Veolia's policies is paramount, and the Project Manager must recognize opportunities to enhance value-added services for clients. Maintaining a professional image is crucial, as the Project Manager will be responsible for addressing client inquiries and proposing solutions to potential issues. The role also requires ensuring the completion and accuracy of all required documentation related to DOT/EPA and Veolia's regulations. The Project Manager will oversee the operation and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness. They will be accountable for the proper handling of hazardous waste, including receiving, verifying, unloading, and staging materials for future transfer to disposal sites. Proactive communication with facilities regarding inbound materials is essential, as is collaboration with dispatchers on shipments.
