At Amazon, we are working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need talented, smart, and driven people. Amazon is seeking a Reliability Engineer for our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers. The Reliability and Maintenance Engineering team plays a vital role in our operational success in the distribution aspect of the business. Being able to identify risk of equipment failure and eliminate the presence of that risk is what our organization strives for. Asset Lifecycle Project Management is key to reaching that goal. The Project Manager will work with different teams to effectively forecast at risk equipment, obtain the necessary funding, and prepare and execute rebuilds and major repairs in an effort to restore equipment performance. The Project Manager will expand the existing rebuild programs to other critical assets, provide leadership and mentorship to the Asset Lifecycle managers, and lead the Asset Lifecycle program. They will work alongside Reliability Experts to effectively forecast and determine a criticality list of equipment that requires major mechanical intervention. Writing white papers and completing economic analysis will be essential in securing the necessary funding for the work, as well as collaborating with finance and other stakeholders to submit project requests and gain approval. Additionally, the Project Manager will work with various teams to determine and secure formal shutdown events for maintenance, manage the preparation for all maintenance events, and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and clear on their responsibilities. They will also travel to sites to conduct pre-rebuild audits at the facility to ensure that there is no risk to the shutdown events, solicit network support for maintenance events, and manage vendors and suppliers to deliver goods and services against contracts and expectations. Regular meetings with stakeholders will be necessary to seek feedback and provide updates to RME Leadership. This role requires domestic travel up to 50%.
