About the position

The Project Manager position at Chugach Government Solutions involves overseeing the Base Operating Support contract at the NASA/White Sands Test Facility. This role is responsible for managing a team of 135 personnel and ensuring the effective delivery of facility maintenance, logistics, and firefighting support. The Project Manager serves as the primary contact for the customer, handling all aspects of contract performance, financial management, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manages operational aspects of project including cost, schedule, and technical performance management.
  • Manages expectations and relationships with client senior management, company senior management, and project teams.
  • Anticipates problems and opportunities and addresses them appropriately and effectively.
  • Negotiates and oversees the development, implementation, and reporting of performance metrics.
  • Performs continuous review of program performance results and interfaces with client to address status, operational issues, and metrics in a timely manner.
  • Defines and establishes the project organization and project staffing requirements.
  • Identifies resources required for the project and oversees employee selection, hiring, and development.
  • Leverages the full range of corporate resources to improve service delivery.
  • Serves as key team member in proposal efforts and sales calls to develop solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Ensures work is executed in accordance with company practices and values and client specifications.
  • Communicates with the corporate office on all matters related to contract execution and performance.
  • Holds full accountability for the program's profit and loss for the corporate business line.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and necessary resources to ensure successful contract performance.
  • Establishes and maintains a Safety Program in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Assigns clear responsibilities for the various aspects of the safety program and ensures employees have adequate resources to perform their duties.
  • Commits resources as necessary to resolve safety issues and concerns.
  • Demonstrates safety management leadership and commitment by developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving safety initiatives.
  • Exercises sound business practices and ensures compliance with corporate policies and contract requirements.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field with 10 years' experience in managing facility infrastructure operations, maintenance, construction, and engineering functions.
  • Direct experience managing a diverse organization of 100+ personnel and a large portfolio of complex projects.
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Management and Asset Management concepts.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required level clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
