About the position

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking a highly motivated professional to join its Information Technology (IT) team. This role involves leading and coordinating multiple teams to install and support NNL enterprise networks across various locations, including shipyards and government agencies. The successful candidate will manage resources to develop and implement IT solutions that enhance functionality, security, and performance, while collaborating with technical and financial personnel across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute IT technical and IT process improvement projects.
  • Perform project scheduling, cost, scope, stakeholder, communications, procurement, risk and quality management.
  • Conduct meetings and present project information clearly to personnel at all levels of management.
  • Develop and manage budgets and procurement plans.
  • Develop portfolio management plans across a wide range of resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a Project Manager.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with computer networking and IT technologies.
  • Exposure to IT services and technical terms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Ability to oversee multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Hold Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification.
