About the position

The Project Manager in the Office of the College President is responsible for managing and coordinating strategic initiatives that support the institution's mission and goals. This role involves working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the effective execution of high-priority projects and events. The Project Manager must demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks independently, from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Completes a broad variety of tasks that facilitate the President's ability to effectively lead the organization, including assisting with special projects, designing and producing complex documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Serves as a back-up to the Executive Assistant to the President, stepping in and assuming those responsibilities when needed.
  • Supports Board Committee work for Vice Presidents when needed.
  • Provides budgetary support to the Chief of Staff, including developing, preparing, and presenting recommendations and reports.
  • Assists with managing projects by tracking timelines, budgets, and action items, coordinating resources, and updating project databases.
  • Coordinates special events for the Office of the President, including scheduling, marketing, logistics, and day-of event coordination.
  • Drafts internal and external written correspondence and edits memos, proposals, reports, and other documents.
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Represents the College and the Office of the President positively and professionally.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of work experience supporting a senior executive or serving as a project manager.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to make sound judgment calls.
  • Commitment to excellence and performing duties at the highest level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Team-oriented experience and collaborative approach.
  • Service focus dedicated to meeting the expectations of the President and Board of Trustees.
  • Ability to think creatively and respond quickly to situations.
  • Significant executive support experience, preferably with C-level executives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Nonprofit board experience is highly preferred.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Email and Calendaring.
  • Ability to design and edit graphic presentations and materials.
