About the position

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and manage key projects within our Research & Development, Commercial Operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving project success by ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The Project Manager will lead and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within scope, and on budget. This includes developing comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. The role also involves coordinating project activities, resources, and personnel, including working with internal teams and external vendors. Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to address potential issues are key responsibilities. The Project Manager will communicate project status, updates, and changes to stakeholders and executive leadership, facilitating regular project meetings to track progress, review milestones, and resolve any challenges. Ensuring projects adhere to company standards, processes, and best practices is essential, as is managing project budgets and tracking expenditures to ensure financial goals are met. The Project Manager will evaluate project performance, capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
