About the position

The Project Quality Manager at Technip Energies is responsible for leading and guiding quality activities on FEED/EPC projects to ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan. This role involves proactive quality support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to start-up, and requires interaction with various functional groups and clients. The manager will also supervise quality staff as needed and make independent decisions based on quality principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, support, and guidance for Quality activities on FEED/EPC projects.
  • Implements and monitors the quality management system for medium to large strategic EPC projects.
  • Guides project teams in understanding Quality contributions to project success.
  • Develops and assures execution of the Project Quality Plan, including planning of quality support activities.
  • Aids in the development and approval of project procedures.
  • Provides quality training and awareness on planned quality activities for the project.
  • Assures the effectiveness of the system for criticality ratings and planning for surveillance of procured items.
  • Reviews key documents to ensure quality requirements are adequately addressed.
  • Coordinates with QC to monitor fabrication and manage NCRs, ITPs, and Inspection Reports.
  • Plans and conducts internal project audits.
  • Implements the corrective and preventive action system effectively.
  • Reports progress and quality metrics for company-wide aggregation.
  • Identifies and addresses improvement opportunities within the project team.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years work experience in EPC Projects, preferably in the engineering-construction or oil & gas industry.
  • Auditor training and experience preferred.
  • Quality certifications (CQM, CQE, CQA, etc.) are an advantage.
  • Knowledge/experience of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) are desired.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a project team environment.
  • Possesses appropriate Quality knowledge and skills, including good communication and facilitation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Able to multi-task and manage FEED and EPC projects from start to finish.
  • Proficient in using common Microsoft Office software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
