About the position

As a Property Manager at MAA South Park, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic team of multifamily professionals dedicated to providing exceptional service to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the daily operations of the property, ensuring that all aspects of the community are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes overseeing the Service Manager and the service team, fostering an environment of accountability and trust among team members, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service. You will be expected to adapt quickly to the ever-changing landscape of the multifamily industry while consistently exceeding residents' expectations of their living experience. In this role, you will be responsible for managing staff performance, ensuring that the community meets brand standards, and implementing effective marketing and leasing strategies. Resident retention and satisfaction will be a key focus, as will the management of property financials and lease documents. You will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with audit requirements, making your role critical to the overall success of the property. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the property, including oversight of the Service Manager and service team.
  • Cultivate an environment of accountability and trust among team members.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and maintain the community's appearance.
  • Implement effective marketing and leasing strategies to attract residents.
  • Focus on resident retention and satisfaction through excellent customer service.
  • Manage property financials, including budgets and financial reporting.
  • Oversee lease documents and ensure audit compliance.
  • Evaluate and manage staff performance, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Five to seven years of experience in multifamily property management.
  • One to three years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
  • For South Carolina and Washington, D.C. locations, Property Manager in Charge (PMIC) license required at hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity.
