About the position

The Deputy County Prosecuting Attorney performs a variety of professional legal duties as required to expedite the efficient and effective litigation of criminal cases within Washington County. This role involves prosecuting felonies and misdemeanors in justice, juvenile, and district courts. The attorney will review law enforcement crime reports, determine the nature and quality of the case, and decide whether to file criminal charges. Additionally, the attorney will monitor case progress to assure efficient and effective administration of justice.
