About The Position

The Prototype Program Manager at Roush is responsible for leading cross-functional program teams throughout the life cycle of various programs, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to contract deliverables. This role involves managing program schedules, budgets, and client interactions while addressing any issues that arise to maintain project momentum and quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of project coordination or project management experience
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for ITAR compliance
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong team leader fostering teamwork and cooperation
  • High levels of self-control, self-confidence and flexibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a technical discipline
  • Experience in low volume manufacturing
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, standards, and specifications
  • Proficient in Peoplesoft Financials, HR, E-Procurement and MS Project
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends

Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of a program over the entire life of the program
  • Balancing competing program constraints and achieving high quality and customer satisfaction levels
  • Developing and overseeing program schedules, tracking, and updating milestones
  • Monitoring project progress through internal reviews and leading team meetings
  • Communicating program status to program managers and senior management
  • Monitoring changes in program scope and communicating with customers
  • Managing day-to-day client interaction and setting client expectations
  • Identifying risks and developing mitigation or contingency plans
  • Managing program budget, tracking financial status, and invoicing according to contract schedule
  • Providing support for proposal development of new programs
