The Psychiatry Research Associate position at UC San Diego's Department of Psychiatry is a part-time limited appointment role focused on administering educational interventions to individuals with dementia and their family caregivers. This role involves programming sleep watches for participants, maintaining and importing data for statistical analysis, and assisting with various research-related tasks such as recruitment, screening, and assessment of study participants. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying potential participants, scheduling and conducting in-home assessments, obtaining informed consent, and acting as a liaison between study participants and their physicians. Additional responsibilities include preparing research forms, maintaining research charts, coordinating with laboratories, and ordering necessary supplies. The role also requires regular attendance at research meetings and contributing to discussions regarding the study's progress. Administrative tasks may also be assigned as needed, ensuring that the research operations run smoothly and efficiently.
