About The Position

As a Procurement Representative at Vector Security, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing equipment purchase requests for various business units. This position involves prioritizing orders, maintaining shipping tasks, and ensuring timely communication with internal teams and vendors. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our operations and the satisfaction of our customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or Equivalent.
• Two years of experience in the accounting field.
• Minimum one year of experience in purchasing activities.
• Proficiency in Excel, including complex spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of D365 preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritizing, and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the D365 Purchasing Request Queues and self-assign new purchasing requests.
• Prioritize purchase requests and coordinate with the Installation and Service teams to meet deadlines.
• Log vendor equipment shipping tracking information into Microsoft D365.
• Maintain Shipping Tasks in Microsoft D365 and respond to internal inquiries.
• Review shipment tracking data on open orders and request updates for backorders.
• Send out weekly reports to business units as needed.
• Pursue alternative suppliers for extended product lead times.
• Work with Product Management to identify alternate or substitute parts.
• Meet and maintain established SLAs for all ordering activities.
• Provide backup support to the Purchasing Team as needed.
