About the position

The Purchasing Manager will oversee procurement processes and supply chain management, ensuring that purchasing operations align with the company's goals. This role involves sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and maintaining quality standards while managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Manage the sourcing process for materials and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their purchasing needs and provide optimal solutions.
• Monitor market trends to identify potential sourcing opportunities or risks.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Utilize Buildertrend software for procurement management and reporting.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• 3 years of experience in Purchasing/Estimating (preferred)
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Buildertrend or similar procurement systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
• Expertise in contract negotiation and procurement management techniques.
• Ability to source products effectively while maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable pricing outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market conditions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in procurement processes.
