About The Position

The Supplier Quality First Level Manager at Spirit AeroSystems is responsible for leading a team of Supplier Quality Representatives (SQR) to ensure the performance and quality of suppliers globally. This role involves overseeing the quality of products throughout their lifecycle, including onboarding, First Part Qualification, sourcing, First Article Inspection, and investigating discrepancies, with a significant focus on Airbus products.

Requirements

  • Experience in Supplier Quality Management/Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Experience with customer flow down requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of experience in a quality or supply chain role.
  • Experience in a leadership/management position.
  • Knowledge of Airbus products.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and EASA requirements.
  • Experience in Aerospace and manufacturing.
  • Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience presenting to and interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) related to Government Contract Compliance and/or Government Procurement.
  • Governance and Compliance background including experience with AS9100 or other external audits.
  • APICS, CPIM, CSCP or other industry certification.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance and quality of Spirit Suppliers globally through a team of Supplier Quality Representatives.
  • Ensure consistent discipline across suppliers and apply specialized technical expertise for problem resolution.
  • Meet deadlines for supplier audits, discrepancy resolution, and Supplier Improvement Initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers at all employee levels.
  • Manage day-to-day performance management baseline, including establishing organizational programs and work breakdown structures.
  • Report program performance and maintain a communication plan for program activities.
