Python Lead Developer

About the position

Infosys is looking for a Lead with experience in Python and relevant technologies. Candidate should be responsible for designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable codes by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codes.
• Set expectations and features priorities throughout the development life cycle.
• Analyze user requirements and envision system features and functionality.
• Provide estimations to new requirements in the relevant technology.
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Perform code reviews and peer reviews.
• Provide technical inputs on successfully implementing business solutions.
• Work independently or with a team and lead a project to completion.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of related experience in Information Technology.
• Core Python (data structures, conditions, iterator functions, general functions, operations, classes, PEP8/documentation), Advanced Python, FAST API, FLASK, Django, Restful API Webservices.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Restful API Webservices, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, Angular JS, Bootstrap, JSON, XML.
• Hands-on working with RDMS like MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle and non-relational databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Understanding of snowflake cloud technology.
• Object-oriented Python, Multi-threading, Exception handling and collections using Python.
• Proficient with container systems like Docker and orchestration like EC2 container service, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Tools: Github, JIRA, Postman.
• Knowledge on Agile principles and practices.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiar with various design, architectural patterns and software development process.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with remote teams in an effective manner.
• High flexibility to travel.
• Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
