About the position

The QA-C.A.S.E. Auditor is responsible to the Manager, QA MX for ensuring Allegiant Air’s continued compliance with 14 CFR 121.373 and Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Program through regular auditing of internal maintenance processes, contract repair, and overhaul agencies, as well as ensuring fuel storage and into-plane vendors comply with industry and FAA requirements. The Auditor will also perform audits in support of Coordinating Agency for Supplier Evaluation (C.A.S.E.) to ensure Allegiant's status as a sustaining member of the C.A.S.E. organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and schedule audit details and travel plans with a cost effective approach, while maintaining an efficient schedule to meet the needs of the company.
  • Effectively understand and evaluate varied and complex vendor maintenance and fuel storage and Into-Plane operations.
  • Perform scheduled and ad-hoc audits of company and contract agencies in compliance with the audit procedures outlined in Allegiant Air Manuals and applicable industry guidance.
  • Assure outside agencies that repair, overhaul, or perform other maintenance on Allegiant Air aircraft, engines, appliances, or components are appropriately certificated, rated and qualified to perform such maintenance.
  • Assure fuel quality at both fuel storage and into plane fueling facilities conform to company and industry standards.
  • Prepare and deliver audit briefings to clearly articulate the intent and outcome of the audit.
  • Perform and analyze root cause of identified areas of non-conformance to mitigate areas of risk.
  • Prepare audit reports and assist with corrective action plans to ensure that corrective actions are properly identified and implemented.
  • Analyze and assess risk level of findings and reports through the company’s SMS system.
  • Perform audits in support of C.A.S.E.
  • Actively participate in committees and the business processes of the C.A.S.E. organization.
  • Maintain vendor files and electronic records of audit reports, checklists, and vendor information to document compliance with 14 CFR 121.373.
  • Identify hazards and promote safety within the operation.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in the areas of internal and external aircraft maintenance requirements and aircraft fueling procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum three (3) years of 14 CFR Part 121 or 135 Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience.
  • Minimum twelve (12) months as an Airline Level II Auditor or a portion of time in the Quality organization devoted to auditing maintenance/modification activities over the past 24 months.
  • Valid/Unexpired Passport Book
  • Valid/Unexpired Driver's License
  • Ability and willingness to travel to all company and vendor locations and be out of the station for extended periods (up to 70% travel required).
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices, CFR's, ATA 103, NFPA 407.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and excellent time management.
  • Ability to be an effective contributor in a fast paced, multi-task work environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • C.A.S.E Level III or IV authorization with 1A and/or 2-A/4-A rating.
  • Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • College degree.
