About the position
The QA Tester position is a contract role focused on mobile testing, specifically for iOS and Android platforms. The role requires strong experience in mobile testing, familiarity with various mobile OS versions, and the ability to work with different mobile devices. The tester will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mobile testing for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Create and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure coverage.
- Identify, analyze, and suggest solutions to complex issues in code and application behavior.
- Report bugs and issues clearly to developers and stakeholders.
- Document test cases and results effectively.
- Perform end-to-end testing, including integration and system testing.
- Collaborate with testers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality.
- Test POS systems as required.
- Utilize mobile emulators and simulators for testing purposes.
Requirements
- Strong experience in mobile testing.
- Proficiency in both iOS and Android platforms.
- Familiarity with mobile OS versions and device fragmentation.
- Knowledge of common mobile-specific issues like network connectivity and performance issues.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Meticulous documentation skills for test cases and results.
- Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Azure DevOps dashboards and test management tools.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
- Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Understanding of mobile app development processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with automation testing.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud platforms.
