Quality Assurance Analyst

About the position

Afficiency is a rapidly growing Insurtech startup whose mission is to provide life insurance to everyone on the platforms they already trust. Located in NYC, we design life insurance products that can be purchased entirely digitally and can be easily embedded into distribution platforms or with agents who sell insurance. The company is experiencing exponential growth and is well-funded. We are looking for new team members to join us on our journey to shake up the life insurance industry. Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality assurance process of the company.
• Improve current deployment pipelines and test applications end to end.
• Create manual test cases for product testing and analyze bugs and errors found during tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans and test strategies for maximum test coverage.
• Identify and document defects using bug tracking tools.
• Work closely with the product engineering team for defect resolution.
• Conduct API testing using Postman.
• Create high-quality reports for stakeholders.
• Research and compare similar competitor products.
• Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing (1-2 years).
• Hands-on experience with Test Management and Defect Tracking tools.
• Experience working with Agile teams.
• Working experience with SQL, No-SQL Databases.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great team player and able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time.
• Must live in NYC metro area – role is hybrid.
