The Quality Assurance / Inspection (QA) CMM Operator/Programmer at Hughes Circuits is responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming and outgoing materials and products. This role advocates for quality within the organization and requires a keen eye for detail, reliability, and commitment. The ideal candidate will operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DIMIS, perform dimensional inspections, and assist in the development of inspection procedures.

  • Check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products.
  • Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DIMIS.
  • Perform First Article, In Process, and Final Documentation inspections.
  • Conduct periodic random inspections of in-process parts on the shop floor.
  • Communicate with shop personnel regarding any deviations in quality.
  • Document and communicate out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Maintain proper storage of all documentation per job/router.
  • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
  • Support and help implement new inspection methods.
  • Understand machining processes to identify potential problems.
  • 1 year of experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments and hand measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
  • Experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with inspection procedures and protocols.
