About the position

The Quality Auditor will conduct daily internal product/process audits, maintain product quality records, and provide quality control support throughout operations. This role aims to promote the Quality Management System, continuous improvement, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and individual job excellence, serving as a change agent influencing others to achieve results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal quality audits and utilize results for continuous improvement.
  • Document non-conformances, control non-conforming material, lead non-conformance closure, and participate in identifying corrective actions.
  • Providing quality control support of painting and/or surface preparation process.
  • Support outstanding open non-conformances and identify steps for closure.
  • Recognize improvement opportunities and work with cross-functional supervisors to agree on acceptance criteria for closure.
  • Support and train Quality Auditors.
  • Help develop audit strategies based on opportunities found.
  • Perform some functions of the Quality Manager in times of absence.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in technical discipline related to paint, and/or surface preparation or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively as appropriate to the needs of the audience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, Total Quality Management concepts, internal auditing, and manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • A team player, with strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and clients on matters of quality and final product acceptance.
  • Must have the ability to teach, generate concise detailed reports, and implement metrics to measure process performance.
  • Desire to work outside of boundaries, drive change, and foster continuous improvement.
