About The Position

The Quality Improvement Analyst position at the Department of Health is responsible for supporting the agency's Quality Improvement (QI) Manager. This role involves providing technical assistance, coordinating quality improvement activities, and ensuring compliance with various foundational plans. The analyst will work under supervision, requiring independent judgment and initiative to enhance service delivery and promote continuous improvement within the agency.

Requirements

  • Advanced skills in technology-based programs (Internet, email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance in developing, implementing, and tracking the CHD's Performance Management and Quality Improvement Plan (PMQI).
  • Assist the QI Manager with coordinating quality improvement trainings for program managers, supervisors, and program directors.
  • Support in coordinating QI related activities with the Preventative Medicine/Public Health Residency rotation.
  • Track and monitor the progress of ongoing QI projects using data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to support decision-making and guide the development of effective quality improvement strategies.
  • Track training feedback and prepare training certificates.
  • Utilize specialized software such as Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Professional, and Adobe Captivate.
  • Maintain the QI SharePoint site and training calendar.
  • Assist in tracking, monitoring, and evaluating foundational plans including annual progress reports and compliance with standards.
  • Prepare presentations and provide regular updates on the status of foundational plans.
  • Collaborate with other plan leads to assure alignment of plans and review accreditation standards.
  • Conduct agencywide SWOT analysis and other strategic planning techniques.
  • Monitor and measure the agency's performance against set targets and prepare reports detailing progress and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage agency public health accreditation activities in accordance with PHAB standards.
  • Prepare presentations and trainings for better understanding of accreditation.
  • Work on special projects and/or assignments as requested.
